OUR HISTORY

Founded in the artistic Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte, Metrographics has a deep-rooted commitment to local community.

1972

Flash Printing Company, a copy print shop, opened in the Plaza Midwood area of Charlotte, North Carolina. The shop was first located in the bottom of a small costume store.

1988

Rebranding itself as Metrographics, the company began to transition from a copy shop to a commercial printer. Metrographics purchased their first Heidelberg press and moved into a bigger location on Clement Avenue to accommodate growing customer needs.

1990

To mid 2000’s – Metrographics continued to evolve into a full-service metro printing shop by adding presses, die-cutting and finishing services. The company continued to expand square footage along Clement Avenue.

2015
Metrographics moved into a new location on Louise Avenue, within the heart of Charlotte. With over 40,000 square feet of printing and warehouse capabilities. The company continues to expand services and offer innovative technology to the local and global marketplace.
